You are to choose your own times for meditations. There are no hard and fast rules on timing, but it is best to have regular times for meditation. The period for dusk to dawn is great time for women to meditate. The period from dawn to dusk is great time for men to meditate.
How do I meditate?
You meditate by repeating your mantra several times for as long as you can. It could be 5minutes, 10 minutes, 30minutes depending on your capacity. As you continue over time, you may want to increase the allotted time. Once you are comfortably seated on a chair or on a mat (It is not a requirement to sit cross-legged) gently allow your eyes to close and begin citing the mantra (hawo) you have been taught.
