INTRODUCING EFA SAFIA FOUNDATION

EFA SAFIA is an African renaissance movement dedicated to the restoration and promotion of the ancient African mystery system of knowledge of Efa. Our Motto is Draku Drakpanya which translates to the light of the world or the world bearing-light.
WHAT THEN IS EFA? Efa is the Key to Eternal Wisdom.
Efa/Fa means a state of mental and emotional calmness, that state of balance likened to the calmness of an undisturbed lake in the middle of the forest.
The student on the path of Efa is introduced to progressive set of teachings, meditation and other initiations planned for one’s inner development towards attainment of the state of Fa.
The Efa initiate, known as a Bokor, starts the journey by undergoing the introductory Efa initiation to determine his or her kpoli. Kpoli is a personality archetype that serves as the individual’s compass and gives clarity on his or her journey through life. The Kpoli is divined from a field of 16 personality types known as mejis – namely Sa, Chi, Losso, Gbe, Di, Abla, Ka, Akla, Fu, Tula, Lete, Yeku, Guda, Trokpe, Gnoli, Woli – each revealing the initiate’s characteristic traits, peculiar circumstances, and personal taboos etc. Every individual belongs to one out of a total of 256 Efaduwo or Efa states comprising the 16 mejis plus 240 other kpoli derived from combinations of the mejis.
All the work with the individual’s kpoli, dos and donts, divinations, initiations, the meditations and everything one does are to lead to a state of FA. When you attain Fa or Efa, you are able to catch glimpses of knowledge or guidance pertaining to your Kpoli

Our Mission

Our fundamental purpose is to obtain comprehensive knowledge of the ancient mystery system and apply its practical tools for the harmonious development of souls and the establishment of an advanced African culture.

Our Priorities in line with this Mission are to:
• Provide an initiatory path of self-discovery
• Restore our ancestral connections
• Reignite a sense of purpose and identity in the African based on the ways of our ancestors
• Support people to handle their day-to-day challenges by using the problem-solving tools of the Efa Knowledge System.

Our Vision

OUR CORE OBJECTIVES
It is our intent to:
1.To repair our past (what in our past?)
Many of our traditional practices have become watered down and ineffective.

The practitioners themselves do not understand what they are doing. They only carry out “traditions”. We seek to review some of these systems and improve or correct them to make them useful to our times and posterity.
2.Prepare a tribe of awakened souls that will…
Africa has suffered greatly from the challenge of continuity of its noble knowledge system and traditions. Many adepts and custodians pass on without handing down their knowledge to their descendants, and this has created a huge spiritual vacuum on the continent today. Sometimes, the reason has been due to lack of prepared souls who will manage such high knowledge without abuse. The tribe will become the hub around which the reclaimed knowledge will revolve. Members of this tribe shall be the custodians and preservers of the knowledge.
3.Institute ways of preserving the discovered knowledge systems.
